No practice tonight
by posted 05/03/2021

Hi all,

After such a great weekend of lacrosse, we are going to give the boys a break tonight.  The original game plan was to work on shooting and other low physical skills to let them recover from the weekend.  This would be a laxby night which is full blast for 1 hour.  We think they need a break.  We may look into an optional practice thursday for shooting and stick skills.

Cheers

Game today and weather
by posted 05/02/2021

Hi all,

I hope you all are as proud of our boys as the coaches are.  They gave everything they had, then dug deep and found more!  Sometimes in a loss you learn a lot about GRIT.  They showed true grit and fought to the end! I am proud of them and the young men they are becoming.

Our game today is at the same field at 3:15.  We have been playing a lot this weekend so show up 45 minutes before (2:30) as we will not need as much of a warm up and we do not have many adjustments for todays game.  I checked the leauge policy on weather and we will play in the rain regardless of how hard it is coming down.  The only way the game will be called is a game-time call because of lighting.

Cheers

Games today
by posted 05/01/2021

Hi all,

First off, the boys really played a great game yesterday!  Our defense rarely let them have a shot and Drew made some great saves when they did.  The ball movement on offense that led to our goals was something we have been working on all year!  On both offense and defense, everybody was in position throughout the game.  The Coaches could not be happier!

A couple things:

  1. Please plan to arrive 1 hour early as usual.  Getting the kids warmed up and lots of low key passing before the games really matters to their stick skills in the game.
  2. This will be a double header and hot for our kids.  Make sure your kid has some sort of electrolyte drink so they do not cramp.  Secondly, they will need some form of nutrition around the 3rd quarter to be ready for the 2nd game.  Something that digests quickly is optimal, like a honey Stinger or the like.  We cannot have them eat too much during or between games.  This happened 2 years ago, and I have never seen the kids so lethargic in a game.

See you at Bayou Gulch Regional Park at 1 pm
