2022 MLAX Boys Fall League 2nd-8th Grade

2022 MLAX Boys Fall CYLA League Teams

Description: MLAX is fielding teams for the 2022 CYLA Fall Lacrosse League. MLAX teams will practice one night per week with games on Sundays. The CYLA fall league will be different from the spring league in many ways, so please read through the following information carefully for complete details.

Objective: MLAX fall ball is, in essence, a Spring Light version of the regular spring season. It is intended to provide new players a chance to get introduced to team lacrosse as well as provide an option for experienced players to continue to hone their skills in the off-season. Fall ball is not intended to be a complete remake of the spring season. If you are new to MLAX and/or unsure if your player is better suited for the MLAX CYLA Fall League or the MLAX Learn to Play Clinic, please email info@mountainlax.com and we will contact you to discuss your situation. Our goal is to make sure your player has the best experience possible!

Grade Divisions:
The CYLA fall divisions will consist of combined grade levels playing 7v7 - 2/3rd grade, 4/5th grade, 6/7th grade, 8th grade.

Team Formation:

MLAX Teams will be formed by the MLAX board and coaches and team roster formation will be dependent on the total registration numbers for a particular grade. Players may or may not be placed with the same coaches and/or players from their spring teams.

Practices:
Practices are one night a week at Stagecoach Field and will start the week of August 29. Specific dates and times for practices will be determined once teams are formed.

Games:

Sept 18, 25, Oct 2, Oct 9, Oct 16 (Fall Festival - double header)

2 home games and 2 away games.  Fall Festival location TBD. Games will be played in various locations including Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins and Colorado Springs.

Registration Fees:

$150.00 (to cover CYLA League fees including referees, EPRD field usage fees, and field equipment). In addition, every player must have a US Lacrosse membership for insurance and liability purposes. Players without a US Lacrosse membership may sign up for one during our registration process at a cost of $30. The membership will last for 1 year and will cover you through our Winter and Spring programs as well.

Equipment:
Full equipment required.

Full Disclosure:
The fall ball season is intended to be a much less competitive version of the spring season. It is intended to be "spring light" with a practice/game schedule that allows for flexibility for other activities. Team rosters are different than the spring season and players from all abilities can be placed together on the same team. The motto for fall ball is "relax....just roll with it".

Last: We never know how many players we are going to get for Fall Ball, thus things may change or we may have to cancel teams if we don't have enough players for a specific age group. Just a heads up!

Base Cost: $150.00

2022 Girls Fall League 3rd - 8th Grade Fall League

Mountain Lacrosse Girls 2022 FALL BALL 3rd - 8th Grades

MLAX is fielding teams for the GIRLS South Suburban Park and Recreation (SSPR) Fall Lacrosse League. MLAX teams will practice one night per week with games on Saturdays. The fall league is different from the Spring league, so please read through the following information carefully for complete details.

PLAY: Fall Ball is a FUN way to get sticks in the girls' hands in a non-competitive FUN program with their peers. Fall Ball is intended to provide players a chance to get comfortable playing team lacrosse and give experienced players an option to continue to hone their skills in the off-season. It is preferred that players have at least one season of regular team play experience (exceptions will be considered on a case by case basis). If you are new to MLAX and/or unsure if your player is better suited for the MLAX SSPR Fall League or the MLAX Girls Learn to Play Clinic, please email info@mountainlax.comand we will contact you to discuss your situation. Our goal is to make sure your player has the best experience possible!

Fall ball does NOT strive to form competitive teams. The goal of the program is to have fun, improve skills, and allow newer players to learn the game with the LEADERSHIP of experienced players.

TEAM FORMATION: Teams will be grade based depending on registration numbers. Typically we combine grades and then strive to place the team in a division where they will be competitive. SSPR fall league divisions are by grade level.

PRACTICES: Starting the week of August 29 at Stagecoach Field.

GAMES: Games will be played in the South Suburban Park & Rec (SSPR) League on Saturdays from Sept. 10 - Oct. 22. Games will be played anytime between 8am - 6pm at David A Lorenz Regional Park, Cornerstone Park, and Bowles Grove Park.

COST: $150 Every player must have a US Lacrosse membership for insurance and liability purposes. Players without a current US Lacrosse membership may sign up for one during our registration process at a cost of $30. The membership will last for 1 year and will cover you through our Winter and Spring programs as well. Please let us know if you need financial assistance.

Equipment: Full equipment required. SSPR will be providing game pennies.
