2024 MLAX Boys Fall League Teams 2-8th Grade

Description: MLAX is fielding teams for the 2024 Fall Lacrosse League grades 2-8th. MLAX teams will practice one night per week with games on Sundays. 

Objective: MLAX fall ball is, in essence, a Spring Light version of the regular spring season. It is intended to provide new players a chance to get introduced to team lacrosse as well as provide an option for experienced players to continue to hone their skills in the off-season. Fall ball is not intended to be a complete remake of the spring season. If you are new to MLAX and/or unsure if your player is better suited for the MLAX Fall League or the MLAX Learn to Play Clinic, please email krista@mountainlax.com and we will contact you to discuss your situation. Our goal is to make sure your player has the best experience possible!

Grade Divisions:
Grades 2/3, 4/5, 6/7, 8th

Team Formation:

MLAX Teams will be formed by the MLAX board and coaches and team roster formation will be dependent on the total registration numbers for a particular grade. Players may or may not be placed with the same coaches and/or players from their spring teams. 

Practices:
Practices are one night a week at Stagecoach Field and will start the week of August 26. Specific dates and times for practices will be determined once teams are formed.  

Games:

Sept 15, 22, 29 Oct 6, Oct 13 (Fall Festival - double header)

2 home games and 2 away games.  Fall Festival location TBD. Games will be played in various locations including Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins and Colorado Springs.

 
Registration Fees:

$175.00 (to cover league fees including referees, EPRD field usage fees, and field equipment). In addition, every player must have a US Lacrosse membership for insurance and liability purposes. Players without a US Lacrosse membership may sign up for one during our registration process. The membership will last for 1 year and will cover you through our Winter and Spring programs as well.

Equipment:
Full equipment required.

UNIFORMS MUST BE ORDERED BY JULY 31.

2024 Boys Learn to Play Fall Clinic

Description: Lacrosse drills, instruction, and game situations for new players grades K-4th using full equipment. MLAX has equipment players can borrow. If you want to try the fastest game on two feet, this is a great option!!!

Objective: The MLAX Learn to Play Clinic is intended for new young players to be introduced to the basics of lacrosse in a fun and easily accessible manner.

Schedule: 4 weeks - Thursdays 5-6pm Sept 5/12/19/26 with Oct 3 as make up date

Location: Marshdale East

Registration Fee: $75.00 (to cover EPRD field usage fees, penny, & field equipment). In addition, every player must have a US Lacrosse membership for insurance and liability purposes. Players without a US Lacrosse membership may sign up for one during our registration process. The membership will last for 1 year and will cover you through our Spring program as well.

Mountain Girls PreK-3rd Gr Fall Ball

Preschool-3rd grade girls, come join the Mountain team, make new friends, and have a blast playing lacrosse! Players will learn new skills, practice teamwork, and have fun with our experienced coaches. Teams will be sorted by grade/age to maximize learning and growth, with lots of age-appropriate competitive play.

Practices on Sundays 9/8 through 10/6
Stagecoach Field, 2:30-3:30 pm
10/6 session is a special "Stick-or-Treat" lax celebration and gameplay!

Mountain Girls 4-8th Gr Fall Ball

Girls entering 4th-8th grade, come play fall ball with us! Become a stronger player and a better teammate through weekly practices that focus on: (1) mastering fundamentals and developing skills; and (2) implementing the skills you learn through competitive scrimmages and games. We welcome all skill levels and positions. Don't miss this fall fun with your friends!

Practices on Sundays 9/8 through 10/6
Stagecoach Field, 3:30-5:30 pm
Multi-game play day against other clubs on Saturday 10/12 in Boulder

2024 Girls Lacrosse Summer Camp

For new, beginner, and intermediate players going into grades prek-5!  Campers will participate in small groups with Evergreen and Conifer High School women's lacrosse coaches and players.

August 6, 7 & 8th (Tues-Thurs)

• Girls entering kindergarten through 5th grade in the fall -- Mornings 8/6-8/8, 9:00 am-12:00 pm
  • $150 for all 3 days
• Girls in preschool (at least 3 yrs old) -- 1 hr only 8/6-8/8, 10:00 am-11:00 am
  • $50 for all 3 days

Lacrosse Summer Camp is open to all girls from the mountain community and beyond! Camp is a full morning for girls going into grades K-5, and a shorter 1-hour program for preschool-aged girls. This is a perfect chance for new players to try the sport at a low cost (no equipment needed -- sticks are available to borrow), and a great way to get outside and have fun improving your skills and learning the game from high school players and coaches!
